Privacy policy
Stumped: Ultimate Cricket 27 doesn't ask who you are. This page says exactly what the game and this website keep, and how to take it or delete it.
The short version
Stumped: Ultimate Cricket 27 is a cricket game. It never collects your name, email, phone number, age, birthday, contacts, photos, location or advertising ID. If you make your player's face from a photo, the photo is read on your device and dropped: it's never saved or sent. It has no tracking and no analytics. Its ads aren't personalised and pay something in the game when watched to the end. We don't sell or rent your information. You can download everything the game keeps, or delete it, from Settings › Privacy in the game.
Who we are
Stumped: Ultimate Cricket 27 is made by Sφnny, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. For anything about your privacy, write to [email protected].
What the game keeps
- Your game: your club (its name, kit and players), Journeys, My Career, cups and events, results and statistics, awards, kit items, save slots and settings.
- Names you type: for your club, your players and any names you change in the game.
- A random identifier, made by the game, used only for your club's line on the boards. It isn't linked to your device's hardware or to any advertising identifier.
- Your Edition Pass status: whether the pass is active, and for which edition.
Where it's kept
- On your device, in the game's own storage (or, in a browser, that browser's storage for this site).
- On our game server: your club's line on the boards (its name, colours, division, points and results). In the beta, the invite code you used, and which player invited you if a friend did.
- Online matches are set up by our server: it passes on your club's name and your side's players, checks the two games finished the same, and keeps none of it once the match is over. The match itself goes directly between the two players' games (peer to peer) when their networks allow it, and through our server when they don't.
- A direct connection means each game can see the other's internet (IP) address, as in any peer-to-peer game; it gives a rough location, about the city. The game doesn't show it or keep it. To find a route between the two games, they ask Cloudflare's public connection service, which sees the address too.
What other players see
On the Ladder and the other boards: your club's name, its colours, your division, points and results. In an online match, the other player sees your club's name and your side, and their game can see your internet address while the match connects directly. If you leave an online match under way and don't come back within a minute, our server notes it against a coded form of your beta place, not your name, so players who walk out often can be kept out of quick match and Live 1v1 for a day or two. Nothing about you: no name, account or contact details. Club names are checked for abuse and impersonation when they're entered and again when they're shown. Any player can hide a club, or report its name or suspected cheating. Reports come only to us. If you rename the game's own players or teams, those names stay on your device; online, other players see the game's names.
What it's used for
Only to run the game: saving your progress, putting your club on the boards, checking results so nobody can cheat their way up, and keeping your Edition Pass working. Nothing is used for advertising profiles or sold.
Purchases
The Edition Pass is bought through the App Store, Google Play or the Microsoft Store, under their own privacy policies. We never see your card or payment details, only a receipt saying the pass was bought, which we check with the store.
Ads
Now and then after a match, the game offers a short video ad that pays the match's coins again. A card comes first with a Skip button: skip it and no ad plays. You can also choose an ad to double the daily bonus or to try an Edition Pass mode for an hour. Ads never play during a match, a reward is paid only for an ad watched to the end, and you never need ads to buy the pass.
Ads are shown by Google AdMob and are not personalised: the game doesn't use your device's advertising identifier and doesn't ask to track you. To show an ad and count it, the network receives what any ad request carries: the type of device, its operating system and language, your IP address (from which it works out your rough country) and whether the ad was watched. It receives nothing about you or your game. Its own policy covers what it does with that: Google AdMob privacy policy. Where the law asks for it (the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, for example), you're asked before any ad is shown.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no trackers. The site's fonts and pictures are served from the site itself, so loading a page doesn't contact anyone else.
- Server logs. Our host records the requests made to the site (IP address, the page asked for, the browser and the time) to deliver it and to stop abuse. We don't use these logs to identify anyone, and the host keeps them only briefly.
- The beta waitlist. If you join, we keep your email address, the date and what you agreed to. We use it only to send your invite code for the closed beta, development notes and the game's launch. Every email has a link to stop them, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time. We keep it until you unsubscribe or the list is closed.
- Videos. The videos page shows a card for each video, drawn by the site itself. Only when you press play does your browser load YouTube's player, in its privacy-enhanced mode; from then on YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that video.
- Emails you send us. We keep support emails as long as needed to help you, and no longer than two years.
Sharing
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. The companies that host the game server, the database and this website process it only on our instructions. We'd disclose information only if the law requires it.
Children
Stumped: Ultimate Cricket 27 is suitable for all ages but isn't made for children in particular. Because it collects no personal information and has no chat, a child can play without sharing anything about themselves. Names people type are checked for abuse. If you believe a child has entered personal information in a name, contact us and we'll remove it.
How long we keep it
- On your device: until you delete it, or delete the app or the browser's data for this site.
- On our server: while your game is in use. A game with no activity for two years is deleted.
- Board rows: while your club is on the board.
- Reports: reviewed and then deleted within 90 days.
- Left online matches: a week, then deleted.
Your choices and rights
- See and take your data: Settings › Privacy › Download my data.
- Delete it: Settings › Privacy › Delete everything. See Deleting your data.
- Ask us: for access, correction or deletion, or to complain, write to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
- Complain to a regulator: in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Alberta, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner. Elsewhere, your local data protection authority.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process game data to provide the game you asked for, server checks and reports for our legitimate interest in fair play and safety, and the email list on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Deleting your data
In the game, Settings › Privacy › Delete everything deletes your game on the device, your save slots, your board row and anything on our server, straight away. A pass you bought stays with your store account and comes back when you restore purchases.
If you no longer have the game, or can't open it, ask us at [email protected]. The Delete your data page explains what to send and what happens.
Security
- Connections to our server and this site are encrypted.
- Sign-in tokens are stored only as one-way hashes, and they expire.
- The server checks every result it accepts and limits how often a device can act.
- Store builds of the game carry no developer switches.
Where data goes
Our server and service providers may be outside your country, for example in Canada or the United States. Wherever it is, your information is protected as this policy describes.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be here and in the game, with its date. A change that matters will be shown in the game before it takes effect.
