What's in the book

The game, written up the way a scorer would.

In the game How it plays Count
Match lengths A six-ball Super Over, T10, T20 and one-dayers, up to a full five-day Test. The longer formats can be played in phases: the key spells, with the rest simulated. 9
Ranked XI Buy and sell with the league or with other managers, then build squads whose total value fits under one cap, the same for every club. Chemistry rewards a side that plays together. Take it up the Ladder and into the Weekend Series, against the computer or live. 520
Nations Each with its own regions, domestic leagues and home grounds. Players and clubs are made up; the nations are real. 10
Improvised shots Scoop, ramp, reverse sweep, helicopter, slog sweep, pick-up and inside-out. Any batter can try them; their skill decides how they come off. 7
Grounds International stadiums, franchise grounds and club grounds, each with its own pitch, square and stands. 65
Googly physics The game's own engine. Length decides height, the pitch wears, and where the ball meets the bat decides the shot, so no two are the same. 1
Chase of the Day One last-over chase a day, the same for everyone: same sides, ground and target. Compare with your friends. 1
Super Over cups Eight sides, one over each, groups then the semis and a final: the Shootout for clubs, the Showdown for nations. 2
Players on one screen One bats, one bowls: two controllers, a split keyboard or two thumbs on a tablet. 2

Fixtures

Ways to play, from three minutes to a whole season. Pick a club and a country to follow when you start. How it all plays

My Career

Make a player and start in your district. Earn a franchise contract with form, then the call to your country.

Match Day

The real international calendar. On the day your country plays, its match is yours to play: same opponent, same format, same city.

World events

Fifty-over and twenty-over world titles, the Summit Shield and tours, each hosted somewhere and played around the host's grounds.

Leagues and cups

Franchise seasons, a champions cup and the Super Over Shootout, each with its own save. Real club fixtures come in a later release.

Ladder and Weekend Series

Ten-over divisions and six twenty-over games from Friday to Monday with your Ranked XI, built in the transfer market under one cap for everyone. Against the computer or Live 1v1.

Tests

Two innings, declarations and the follow-on, a new ball after 80 overs and a pitch that wears. Play all five days or just the key spells.

Play online

A friend by link or room code, or the next player waiting. Live 1v1 on the Ladder and in the Weekend Series.

Under the hood

What makes every ball different, and the ways to play with other people.

Googly physics

The game's own engine. Swing, seam and spin, bounce by length, and a bat that meets the ball at a real spot on the blade. No two shots come off the same.

Two players

A friend on the same screen: one bats, one bowls, then swap. A controller each, or share the keyboard or the touch screen. Hide the bowler's marker so the batter has to read it.

Ranked XI and the market

Buy and sell with the league or with other managers, then build up to three squads under a cap that's the same for every club, with chemistry and roles. The better-built side wins, not the bigger spender.

Online

65 grounds

International stadiums, franchise grounds and club grounds in ten countries, each with its own pitch, boundary and stands.
