My Career
One cricketer, followed match by match. You play only your part, his innings and his overs, and he grows from what he actually does. Nothing in it can be bought.
Two ways in
Make your player: his name, his role, how he bats and bowls. Then choose where he starts.
The domestic grind
A district side in his own region. He plays every match and grows fastest. A title or a big name makes him captain, and a good season brings offers from a level up.
The franchise rookie
Signed straight into a franchise. His name grows quickly, but he has to earn his place: picked on rating, form and name, dropped when it goes badly, and slow to grow on the bench.
His face, from a photo
Give him your face, or anyone's. Pick a photo, face on, and the game reads it: the shape of the face, the eyes, nose, mouth and jaw, the skin tone, the hair and any beard. Then fine-tune anything with the sliders.
It all happens on your device, with Google's MediaPipe face finder built into the game. The photo is read, then dropped. It's never saved, and never sent to us or anyone else. Or skip the photo and shape his face yourself.
A season at his level
Every season is a real competition at the level he's at. At district level, his region's T20 league and then its one-day cup. At state level, the State T20 Championship and the One-Day Trophy. In a franchise, the franchise league, then back to his home state for the one-day trophy, as franchise players are.
Each one is a full league: everyone plays everyone once, the top four go to the semi-finals, then the final, with a table and leaderboards. The rest of each match plays out around him, ball by ball.
Moving up
- Offers. A good season brings offers from the level above.
- The auction. From state cricket, the franchises bid for him.
- The call-up. His country picks him on rating, form and reputation, whichever path he took.
His records
His numbers go into the records the way the real game keeps them. Every T20 he plays goes in his T20 record, with internationals also in his T20I record. One-dayers go in his List A record (ODIs in his ODI record too), and first-class matches and Tests the same.
From one edition to the next
Each September a new edition begins and he carries over. Most players drop a little, as they do from one year to the next. One who played franchise or international cricket starts the new edition as an international, with his traits kept and room to grow again.
My Career is part of the Edition Pass. See World events for the events your country plays, and Journeys for how players develop.
